Everything you'll need to know on how to set up your Instagram Feed section.

Escrito por Cartiafy Team Actualizado abril 2026

The Instagram Feed section displays a manually curated grid of square Instagram-style images in a horizontally scrolling carousel. Each image can link directly to its post on Instagram, and a Follow button at the top points visitors to your profile. Perfect for showcasing user-generated content, brand aesthetics, or social proof on your homepage.

Adding the section

To activate this section you first have to add the section to your page. This can be done in a few small steps.

1) Click on Add section which can be found in your left sidebar.

2) Scroll down, or search for Instagram Feed, then click on it.

3) Done — your Instagram Feed section is added.

Ajustes generales

The general settings contain the heading, button, grid layout, carousel, autoplay, and spacing setup of the Instagram Feed section. Simply click on the section to open the settings.

Esquema de color

Select the color scheme for the section. You can pick from any of the schemes set up in Theme Settings → Colors. Controls the section background, heading text, and Follow button colors.

Content

Título

The main heading of the section. For example: Follow on Instagram, Shop our feed, or @yourbrand on IG. Leave empty to hide the entire header (eyebrow badge, title, and Follow button).

Instagram username

Without @. Type only your username (e.g. cartiafy), not the URL. Powers the @handle eyebrow badge above the title and the Follow button URL.

Instagram profile URL

The full URL of your Instagram profile (e.g. https://www.instagram.com/cartiafy). Used as the Follow button link. Opens in a new tab.

Texto del botón

The label shown on the Follow button. For example: Follow @cartiafy, Follow us, or See more on IG.

Mostrar icono de Instagram en el botón

Tick this box to display the Instagram glyph icon to the left of the button text. Adds visual recognition. Default: on.

Estilo de título

Estilo de título

Visual size of the title from H1 down to H6. The default H2 works for most stores. Pick a smaller value when the section sits between other sections that already have prominent headings.

Tamaño del botón

Visual size of the Follow button: Small, Medium, or Large. Default: Medium.

Grid & carousel

Columnas en escritorio

Number of images visible at once on desktop, between 2 and 6. Default: 4 — a clean balanced row.

Columnas en tableta

Number of images visible on tablet, between 2 and 4. Default: 3.

Columnas en móvil

Number of visible images on mobile, between 1 and 3. Default: 2.

Radio del borde de la imagen

Round the corners of each image, between 0 px and 30 px. Default 8 px gives a soft modern look. Set to 0 for a flush edge-to-edge feed.

Mostrar flechas de navegación

Tick this box to display left and right arrows for navigating the carousel. Default: off — visitors swipe or drag instead.

Arrow position

Where the navigation arrows sit: Outside (flanking the carousel with horizontal padding) or Inside (overlaid on the first and last visible images). Only applies when Show navigation arrows is on.

Enable autoplay

Tick this box to automatically advance the carousel from one image to the next. Default: on. Pauses on hover so visitors can stop and click an image.

Autoplay speed (seconds)

Time spent on each image before advancing, between 2 and 15 seconds. Default: 4. Slower speeds (6–8 s) give visitors more time to look.

Layout

Ancho máximo

Maximum width of the section content, between 1000 px and 1600 px. Default: 1400 px.

Relleno superior

Space above the section in pixels (0–120). Default: 60 px.

Padding-bottom

Space below the section in pixels (0–120). Default: 60 px.

Adding images

Each post is an individual Image block. Click Add block inside the section and choose Image. Each block represents one Instagram-style image in the carousel — upload your own photos that match the style of your IG feed.

Imagen

The image for this post. Square images work best (the section uses 1:1 aspect ratio). Recommended: 600 × 600 px or larger. Use the same aesthetic and color palette as your real Instagram feed for visual consistency.

Link

Optional URL the image links to — usually the original Instagram post (e.g. https://instagram.com/p/POST_ID). Opens in a new tab. When set, a hover overlay with the Instagram icon and a View post label appears. Leave empty for a non-clickable image.

Preguntas frecuentes

Does this section pull images automatically from Instagram?

No. Images are added manually using Image blocks. This is intentional—automatic Instagram feeds require API tokens that often break, slow down your store, and may scrape unwanted content. Manual curation gives you full control over what appears.

¿Cuántas imágenes debo agregar?

At least 6 images so the carousel always has new content as it auto-advances. With 4 desktop columns visible, 6+ images keeps every cycle fresh. Aim for 8–12 for a polished feel.

¿Cómo enlazo una imagen a una publicación real de Instagram?

Open the post on Instagram, click the timestamp or share button to copy the post URL (e.g. https://instagram.com/p/ABC123), and paste it into the Link field of the matching image block. Visitors who click the image will be taken to the post.

¿Por qué no funciona la reproducción automática?

Autoplay automatically pauses when the visitor hovers over the carousel. If your test browser detects a mouse hovering, it stays paused. Move the mouse away and it resumes. On touch devices, autoplay runs continuously unless the visitor swipes manually.

¿Qué tamaño deben tener mis imágenes de Instagram?

Square aspect ratio (1:1) is required by the section layout. Recommended size: 600 × 600 px or 800 × 800 px. WebP or JPG format. Under 200 KB each for fast loading.
