Typography

Set heading and body fonts globally, plus size scale, line height and letter spacing for desktop and mobile.

The Typography category controls every text style on the storefront — heading font, body font, size scale, line height, letter spacing, and capitalization. Configure these once and every section follows.

Theme editor → gear icon (⚙) at bottom-left → Typography.

• Heading font — Shopify-hosted font picker. Default: Oswald.
• Heading size scale — desktop (100–150%, default 100%).
• Heading size scale — mobile (75–130%, default 90%). Applied on screens narrower than 750 px.
• Heading letter spacing (-2 to 20, in 1/100 em units; 10 = 0.10 em tracking).
• Heading capitalization — As typed / ALL CAPS / Title Case.
• Heading line height (100–150%; 100 = tight, 120 = normal, 140 = loose).

• Body font — Shopify-hosted font picker. Default: Oswald.
• Body size scale (100–130%).
• Base font size — desktop (14–18 px, default 16 px). Sets the root font-size on screens wider than 749 px.
• Base font size — mobile (13–17 px, default 15 px).
• Body line height (130–200%; 150 = comfortable, 160–170 = airy).
• Body letter spacing (-2 to 10, in 1/100 em units).

Prefer Shopify-hosted fonts — they ship pre-optimized and don't hurt Core Web Vitals. Heavy custom fonts can drop your Lighthouse Performance below the Theme Store minimum (60 on mobile + desktop).
